Parks Department Superintendent: Bryan Owen

Bryan has worked for the City of North Bend for 23 years. He enjoys working for and with a great City Council that has a vision, and with a city staff that feels like family. He has lived in the area for 49 years. He is married to Cathy, and they have two daughters; Ashley age 21, and Amber age 16. They also have one grandson Braxton age 15 months.
The departments role and activities include park and building maintenance which includes; mowing, trimming, daily park clean-up, equipment maintenance, brush cutting, fertilizing, weed control, working ballfields daily May-July. 40% of the work is outside of parks.
Bryan's personal goal for the department is to go beyond just mowing parks, but to beautify the city parks. He wants the community to feel safe and enjoy the city parks.
Bryan and his staff are
actively involved in parks development and maintenance. They are
also responsible for building and grounds maintenance for North
Bend's public buildings including City Hall, Community Center, Library,
Swimming Pool, and the Visitors Information Center.
The City of North Bend has over 60 acres of beautiful parks and
park land. The following is a list of parks in our city: Airport
Heights Park, Boynton Park, College Park, Ferry Street Park, Simpson
Park, State Street Park, and Winsor Park. New restrooms were completed
last year for the Ferry Street Park and the new California Street
Boat ramp in an effort to improve our facilities. College Park has recently undgone many changes. Parks are available for public use during the hours of 6am - 10pm daily.
