Councilor Mike Erbele was elected to serve on the City of North Bend Council in November 2008. His current term expires in November 2016.  Mr. Erbele has been a resident of the bay area for 35 years. He is married to wife Kristi who is the "Party Gal" at Party Zone, and they have two daughters. Ashley is a Western Oregon graduate and working in the Bay Area.  Amee is in her fifth year at Western Oregon University.

Councilor Erbele is a self employed owner and manager of Lamco Cabinets since 1978. His personal goal for the City is he would like to see the quality of city services and the city infrastructure maintained.

Positive input about our city from Councilor Erbele is; “Our leaders of the past did an excellent job.  Our infrastructure, sewer system, water system, and roads were well developed and maintained ”.

Councilor Larry Garboden was elected to serve on the City of North Bend Council in November 1998. His current term expires in November 2014. Mr. Garboden has been a resident of the bay area for 52 years. He is married to wife Sally who teaches for the Coos Bay School District, and they have three children. Matt is an Accountant in Portland, their daughter Lori is a Neonatal nurse in Medford, and their youngest son Andy is a college student at OIT .

Councilor Garboden is a self employed Accountant in North Bend. His personal goal for the City is to continue the high level of service offered to our citizens, to complete the waterfront project, and to improve the economy of the bay area.

Positive input about our city from Councilor Garboden is: “we are proceeding with the Waterfront Project, remaining fiscally sound without out losing employees and striving to improve our city and its services to the citizens”.

Councilor Barry Hayes was elected to the North Bend City Council on November 7, 2006.  His current term expires in November 2014. Councilor Hayes has lived in the bay area for 55 years with his wife Bonnie. They have two sons, Jason and Riley and one daughter Jessica.

Councilor Hayes worked for Weyerhaeuser Paper Company for 31 years prior to coming to work for Pony Village Mall as the manager.

Councilor Hayes personal goal for the City of North Bend is to help manage the growth and serve the citizens of North Bend. He would like to give back to the community that has given so much to his family.

When asking Councilor Hayes about his experience serving on the City Council he stated: I am very proud to be part of a team that has done such a great job over the years managing and developing our city. It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with such a fine City Council. Our city has a great future!

Councilor Howard Graham was elected to serve on the City of North Bend Council in November 1998. His current term expires in November 2016. Mr. Graham has been a resident of the bay area for 58 years. He and his wife, Mary, have three children, sons, Ty and Jeff, and daughter Stacey.

Councilor Graham's personal goal for the city is to see the completion of the revitalization of the downtown core and the waterfront district as well as the promotion and development of the Airport Industrial Park.

Councilor Bill Richardson was appointed to the vacated council position in May 2004 and was elected to serve in November 2006. His current term expires in November 2014. On June 7, 2004 he took his oath of office as North Bend City Councilor. Councilor Richardson is a native to the Bay Area and has raised two sons here, Mike and Danny, with his wife Becky. Councilor Richardson has been the Manager for North Bend Sanitation for over 20 years. His personal goal for the City of North Bend is to see the downtown area grow and prosper, and to maintain the ethical standards as an elected official. Councilor Richardson feels that North Bend is a wonderful community to live, work, and raise a family.

Councilor Timm Slater was elected to serve on the City of North Bend Council in November 2012. His current term expires in November 2016. Councilor Slater has lived in the area for 42 years. His wife, Bob Etta, and he have raised five children here: Yancy, Cricket, Julie, Samantha, and Adam.  A little known secret is that Bob Etta is the one responsible for the North Bend Church of Christ (on Broadway) reader board.  The children now range from Vancouver, Washington to Boston to Lee Valley. 

Councilor Slater spent over 30 years in Weyerhaeuser timberland management with a concurrent 30 year career in the Army reserve/National Guard.  For the last five years he has served as Executive Director for the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.  His personal goals are to reaffirm future plans and directions for the city and help set the stage for the city's next great successes. Also he wants to help encourage the transition of city leadership to the next generation.  He says that working in city government is time well spent with immediate results. 

Positive input about our city from Councilor Slater is: "North Bend has a solid financial footing, infrastructure in place for the future, and people who know how to make things happen.  It's a great place to grow up in and have a future."
